The GTO was one of Pontiacs biggest hits, and you could say that it came down to great marketing with the song, the controversial tiger advertisements, Esso's tiger tails, and US Royal's Tiger Paw tires, but we all know it was because the car was just so good! The GTO was created by John DeLorean with hesitant approval from GM executives, but was an instant hit and is considered by many to be the first muscle car.
