Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities Provide excellent client service and patient restraint in a busy, high quality vet clinic Communicate with clients on a multi-phone line, texting and client email communications Use the Cloud-based EzyVet veterinary software to appropriately enter client data, create accurate medical records, and schedule appointments appropriately Follow and enforce clinic policies, even when uncomfortable situations arise with clients Accurately invoice charges, process payments, auditing charges, and end of day payment reporting Resolve minor client complaints and know which situations should be delegated to a supervisor Interpret medical records in order to answer, field and delegate client questions Create a warm, friendly, and welcoming lobby and client environment Communicate clearly with clients, team, and other members of the veterinary community Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in client care situations Restraining animals for examinations, radiographs, injections, or other technical procedures Presenting financial estimates and obtaining client approval Admitting Inpatients, surgeries and discharging patients Facilitating client medication requests Education and Experience High school diploma, general education degree, or equivalent Customer service experience, minimum 5 years required Veterinary clinic experience including animal restraint, minimum 2 years preferred Computer skills must include:
type 50 wpm, medical practice software knowledge, word processing and spreadsheet knowledge, social media platform management experience Veterinary assisting, animal restraint, handling and Fear Free experience preferred Key Competencies Multitasking skills Independent, problem solver Clear and concise communicator, with excellent verbal and written communication skills Conflict management skills:
ability to handle emotionally charged client interaction and interpersonal team conflict directly, with professionalism High emotional intelligence Efficient, yet attentive to detail and accurate Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, sit, stand and move about frequently There are hazardous chemicals present within the facility, and radiographic equipment is used on the premises.
