Job Description:
The A/V Media Coordinator provides hands-on sound and video technical expertise and manages volunteer staff for the church's worship services.
The A/V Media Coordinator is also responsible for remote meetings and presentations in the church meeting hall and classrooms.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Ensure A/V equipment is available and properly set up for service and meeting use.
Includes connecting/calibrating musical instruments and vocal microphones.
Run sound, lighting, and live streaming for Saturday evening and Sunday morning services, as well as scheduled weekday rehearsals and occasional after-hours church special events.
Post media for distribution via website and social media.
Attend weekly church staff meetings and other meetings as needed.
Identify, train, and manage volunteers from within the congregation to help operate A/V equipment.
Maintain and inventory A/V equipment.
Maintain the AV budget within approved guidelines.
Develop written equipment expenditure proposals as needed.
Strengths & Skill Sets:
Knowledge and experience working with audio, video, and lighting equipment.
Proficiency with computers and social media.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Skilled in all levels of video production (camera operation, editing, motion graphics, sound design, color correction, etc.
).
Ability to work calmly and independently in a live production environment.
Flexible schedule.
Respectful of the religious environment and good with the public.
Experience:
Two- or four-year degree in an audio-visual or related field; or at least two years related experience and/or training.
Network setup/troubleshooting experience a plus.
Supervision:
Under direct supervision of the Facilities Manager.
Compensation:
$15-$25/hour depending on experience.
Other:
Pre-employment background check and drug test required.
